Prompt Shield is committed to protecting your privacy. This extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data outside your browser.

Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect:

• Personal information
• Browsing history
• Redacted content
• User activity
• Analytics data
• Crash reports
• Usage statistics

Local Storage Only

All data remains stored locally in your browser using Chromes local storage API:

• Custom redaction terms — Your configured terms to redact
• Disclosure labels — Your customizable disclosure text
• Audit log — Timestamps and metadata only (no sensitive content or full text)

No External Communication

Prompt Shield:

• Does NOT send data to external servers
• Does NOT transmit data to any third party
• Does NOT use analytics or tracking
• Does NOT display advertisements
• Does NOT require account creation
• Does NOT access your browsing history beyond the sites you install it on

Content Script Operation

When you click - Redact & Label:

1. Your text is analyzed locally in your browser only
2. Redactions are performed locally
3. No text is sent anywhere
4. Everything happens offline

Storage Permissions

The only permission we request is storage, which allows us to save your preferences locally. This data never leaves your device.

Your Control

You can:

• View all audit logs in the extensions options page
• Clear all stored data at any time
• Uninstall the extension to delete all local data
• Disable custom terms or disclosure labels anytime
